May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), his family, his companions, and all who follow their path with sincerity . FRIDAY REMINDER | AT-TIBB EDITION (02 JANUARY, 2025— 13 RAJAB, 1447AH)

Jannah Beneath Their Feet: The Virtue of Kindness to Parents Bismillahi Rahmani-Raheem  Honouring one’s parents is one of the greatest duties in Islam, carrying immense spiritual rewards and blessings. Islam places parents in a position of deep respect, compassion, and gratitude. Their sacrifices, whether seen or unseen shape our lives from childhood to adulthood. This is why Allah repeatedly reminds believers to treat their parents with the highest level of kindness. Allah says in the Qur’an: “And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents..” (Qur’an 17:23).  This verse places kindness to parents immediately after the command to worship Allah alone, showing its importance. In the same verse, Allah continues: “If one or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them even a word of irritation, nor rebuke them, but speak to them noble words.” This teaches us that even the smallest sign of annoyance is discouraged. The Pro...

The Sunnah of Listening  Bismillah... stening is an active and attentive skill that involves paying full attention to the speaker, making eye contact, and allowing them to finish their thoughts. In the world of today, where the act of listening is rare, Islam —a complete way of life, does not only encourage good manners but also emphasizes a good listening manner. Hence, listening is not only a way of showing respect and humility, but a Sunnah of the prophet, peace be upon him . 1. The prophet (peace be upon him) despite being the best of mankind, was known for his exceptional listening manner. Anas Ibn Malik reported in an Hadith that: Whenever the prophet peace be upon him met someone and shook his hand, he would not withdraw his hand until the other person did, and he would not turn his face until the other person turned away. This shows how the prophet made everyone feel valued and respected by giving full attention to every interaction. The Quran teaches the art of Listenin...
